Biography: Jerome C. Pandell is admitted to practice law in the State of California and all California Federal courts, including the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He recently won his first two trials: he successfully defended an architect accused of negligence, fraud, and breach of contract after full presentation of evidence at trial; he also won a directed verdict for an engineering and construction company in a negligence and fraud action after the close of the case, but before jury deliberation. As a graduate of the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, Jerome served as co-chair of the Moot Court Board and Executive Editor of the Hastings Communications & Entertainment Law Journal (COMM/ENT). As a moot court competitor, he won a Best Brief award at the 2006 John Marshall International Information Technology & Privacy Law and the 2008 Tulane University Mardi Gras Sports Law competitions. Jerome completed a federal judicial externship for the Honorable Martin J. Jenkins, formerly of the United States District Court, Northern District of California. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with honors from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Jerome’s latest legal success was achieving partial summary judgment in a real estate transaction case fostering a quick settlement, for a fraction of the claimed damages. Jerome was anointed as a Northern California Rising Star in 2012 by Super Lawyers, an organization that rates outstanding lawyers who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Jerome also serves as a volunteer legal adviser to President Barack Obama’s campaign and other Democratic candidates through California and the nation.
